I am currently working on a number of writing projects for future publication.

My main project focuses on the D-Day landings at Sword Beach and Gold Beach. It has been the intention to cover each beach in detail for the first time. I am fully aware that the subject matter has been covered many times over in varying degrees of detail during the years since the event, but never to my knowledge has each unit been given the proper treatment it deserves and placed under 'one roof'. Due to the size and nature of this undertaking the first volumes will concentrate solely on the build-up, the assault and the subsequent creation of the bridgehead until 11:59 hrs 6 June 1944. The following volumes will then continue the relevant journeys inland and onwards.

Another project currently in the mid stages of research centres around a private soldier from the Lincolnshire Regiment, who by having been captured in North Africa in 1942, ended up being imprisoned at Auschwitz-Birkenau. I stumbled upon this story by accident whilst researching Mettle and Pasture. Very few POWs were ever sent to this particularly infamous camp and this quite remarkable tale needs to be, and will be, told.

Sword Beach

As briefly mentioned above this work covers the preparation and assault on Sword Beach on D-Day 6 June 1944.

I am currently looking for un-published memoirs and photographs for inclusion.

I am also particularly looking for contact with veterans from any unit that landed on Sword Beach whether or not is was D-Day as ultimately in future volumes the later battles will be covered. I would particularly like to speak to veterans of some of the support units RAMC, RE, REME, RASC, RAOC, Navy, Merchant Navy and RAF etc.

For all correspondence please contact me either by email or telephone.
My details are on the contact page and I am happy to travel!

Gold Beach

Again, as briefly mentioned above this work covers the preparation and assault on Gold Beach on D-Day 6 June 1944.

Also looking for un-published memoirs and particularly photographs.

As per the Sword book I am looking for contact with any veterans from any unit that came through Gold Beach at any time. As before I would particularly like to speak to veterans of some of the support units RAMC, RE, REME, RASC, RAOC, Navy, Merchant Navy and RAF etc but also anyone who was involved with Mulberry or Pluto.

For all correspondence please contact me either by email or telephone.
My details are on the contact page and I am happy to travel!
